Ashlyn Cianciolo, originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has been living in Nashville since September 2015. She has danced as an ensemble member and soloist in full productions and side projects of Blue Moves since January 2016. Ashlyn is also a teaching artist – currently working with various studios and programs throughout Middle Tennessee.  She is passionate about inspiring dancers and teaching in a way that promotes self-awareness and body positivity.

Ashlyn pursued her professional dance training and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP). During her time at UWSP, Ashlyn performed in peer, faculty, and guest artist works. She was also a choreographer and directing team member for the annual student-produced show. Her piece “I Feel Like I Don’t Belong” (2014) was selected to perform in the adjudicated and gala concerts at the 2015 American College Dance Association’s North Central conference.

Ashlyn’s future goals include becoming a certified Pilates instructor, continuing her education and receiving a Master’s degree in dance, and eventually teaching dance at the collegiate level. When she’s not dancing, you can find Ashlyn knitting, cuddling with her cat, or binge-watching shows on Netflix with her boyfriend.
