Amanda Cantrell Roche is a co-founder of Blue Moves and has remained a choreographer and performing member since 1989, dancing through life’s milestones. She holds a minor in dance and majors in Journalism and English, has studied under several modern and contemporary instructors over the decades, including Sonjé Mayo, Sharon Perry, and Banning Bouldin, and currently continues her training through New Dialect. Her choreographic works often blend journalism with dance focused on social justice issues, though she has been known to create dances which are totally whimsical and frivolous. Amanda works as a Teaching Artist for TPAC Education, and independently. She also enjoys offering adult integrative mind/body/spirit workshops and classes in community settings, and balances her art and work with travel and community organizing. Her alchemy is most powerful when she combines a trilogy of her deepest passions: dance, journalism and social justice. amandacroche.com
