Amy Bell
Amy danced jazz, tap, ballet, and modern on and off from kindergarten through high school. Then life took her a direction she thought couldn't include dance so she put it aside. But when she was almost 40 she realized her passion for dance never left. She decided it was time to prioritize her joy and begin taking classes again. Soon Amy felt drawn to the dance community in Nashville, and moved here, three years later, in 2019. Since being here she's enjoyed opportunities like studying choreography under Stacie Flood-Popp and Lee Myles through the Toolbox,
performing in "Obsession" with Found Movement Group, dancing in community showcases, performing burlesque, and setting her first piece of choreography on other dancers. This year she co-created and performed a piece for the Kindling Arts Festival called Vers.us. Amy is thankful for the opportunity to be dancing with Blue Moves and honored to witness and be a part of the artistic community they continue to cultivate.
Outside of dance Amy has been married 27 years and has four sons and three grandchildren. She works as a CNA caring for elders with dementia at an assisted living facility.
