Autumn Wegner

Autumn Wegner began dancing at the age of two and spent most of her formative dance years studying ballet at Pat Brown School of Dance in Jackson Tennessee, where she also performed with Ballet Arts through graduating in 2013. Autumn went on to earn her BA in art therapy at Union University where she had the opportunity to study various art mediums including photography, sculpture, ceramics, and painting; all while teaching at a local dance studio. Through this experience, she began to find her art influenced her choreography, and her dancing influenced her art. Upon graduating, Autumn moved to Nashville Tennessee in 2017 where she began dancing at The Dancer Project Conservatory, learning from Artistic Director Jennifer Foster-Drake, and performing roles in various productions. Autumn has since danced with local companies including “That Woman: The Dance Show” by Tennessee Playwrights Studio “Freedom Rising” and other outreach productions with Shackled Feet Dance, “Four Short Stories”  and “Carte Blanche” by Found Movement, “Ride” by Gabrielle Saliba performed as a part of OZ Arts’ “Brave New Works Lab” in 2023, Sandy Perez’s “Who You Are to Me” at the Animata showcase in 2024. She has also been  involved in various other projects throughout the community. She currently works as a freelance dance photographer and contemporary teacher at The Dancer Project Conservatory, while also developing professional relationships with nonprofits in her community.
